Applications

Cabinet Hardware Mounting: These are primarily used to attach European-style hingesdrawer slides, and magnetic catches. The 5/8" length is perfect for standard 3/4" cabinet panels because it provides a deep "bite" without the risk of the screw point breaking through the finished exterior side of the cabinet.

Melamine & MDF Assembly: Because these are Particle Board Screws (PBS), they feature a coarser, deeper thread than standard wood screws. This allows them to grip the loose fibers of MDF and melamine-coated boards effectively, preventing the "spinning" or stripping that often happens with thinner threads.

Trim and Decorative Cleats: Ideal for fastening small decorative trim pieces or thin wooden cleats to the interior of furniture. The Type 17 auger point cuts through the wood grain as it's driven, which is critical for preventing splits in these delicate, thin components.

Flush-Finish Woodworking: The built-in nibs under the flat head act like a miniature router, carving a clean recess for the head to sit in. This makes them perfect for applications where the screw must be completely flush with the surface to avoid interfering with moving parts, like a drawer closing over a frame.

False Front Clips: Used to secure clips for "false" drawer fronts (the non-functional decorative panels in front of sinks). The short 5/8" length ensures the fastener stays hidden inside the panel.
